I know this sounds weird. It is not some big push for cleaning your house, your closet or your desk. I promise. The kind of cleanliness I am talking about is a cleansing of the soul. As the New Year starts, I want to take this opportunity to let go of the past and move forward. When I was in college, I had a friend who told me he loved deer hunting when it had just snowed. The snow covered the land and made it look fresh and clean. He said he always felt like it was a time where he could allow his soul to let go of the ugly parts and past heartaches and start fresh, clean, white…pure.
Right now…take this chance to release any heartache, mistake or ugliness from the past. You don’t have to hold it any more. During this New Year…release it…allow the purity of your soul to shine through. Forgive any past wrongs and decide to only fill your heart with clean words, thoughts and actions. And by clean, I mean, only allow into your lives the things that you are not ashamed of…the things that do not cloud the beauty of your soul.
What would it feel like to let go of the past and start fresh and clean? Share your thoughts with us…
